UCC Pelly

  • Greetings Sorors, Philos, and Rhoers,

As we embark upon another sorority year, I encourage you to reflect on our past success, reconnect with our sisters, and recommit yourselves to excellence in sisterhood, in service, and in scholarship.

This Sorority year, as in the previous sorority year, I will continue to focus on three (3) aspects to help our membership continue to learn and grow: Training, Compliance, and Retention. Purposed to help you grow in Sigma and manage your chapters more effectively, we will continue our popular and successful "Training Tuesdays"; focusing every second Tuesday of the month on timely and relevant topics for our undergraduate chapters and advisors.  We will hear from local, regional, and international leadership on issues of interest to you.

Next, we continue to focus on compliance.  We will provide you the training and tools you need to help meet important Sorority deadlines, execute International programs, and stay aligned with Sigma's annual goals and objectives.  There is strength in numbers, and when we comply with Sorority rules and regulations and execute programming uniformly with excellence, the impact we will have on our community and the world will continue to be great.

Finally, we focus on the sisterhood and the friendships that help us sustain a fun and loving environment as we work together to retain Sorors throughout the years to improve the quality of life within our communities.  Sororities are unique in that they are not just businesses, they are sisterhoods and maintaining sisterly relationships requires work that pays off in dividends of increased productivity, fun, and love. We want to continue to strengthen and grow the sisterly bonds and connections we make with our sisters in our chapters, between our chapters, and across the country and world.

Thank you for your dedication in 2010-2011. We look forward to sharing another awesome year of service and progress with you in 2011-2012 Sorority year.

    Sisterly,

    Soror Cinnamon D. Pelly
