Greetings Sorors & Affiliates,

In the beginning of my term serving as YSC, I envisioned creating a lasting impact during our Centennial, and after numerous brainstorming sessions, "Central Gives Back" emerged as the embodiment of that vision.

Over the past year and a half, we've achieved significant milestones – donating $1000 to a women’s shelter in Indianapolis, Indiana and over 100 hygiene kits, donating school supplies to a local Chicago public school, and supporting the community service initiatives of undergraduate chapters through grants from my initiative, "Central Gives Back."

I am thrilled to extend this initiative to the St. Louis community, focusing on three vital areas: Foster youth, children, and maternal support.  With support of the Central Region Board of Directors and local chapters, I am embarking on three impactful projects.

As we prepare to paint the streets of St. Louis blue and gold during the 84th Central Region Conference, I am seeking your support to raise $5000 in monetary donations. These funds will be allocated to three amazing projects:

1. A $2,000 donation to the St. Louis Children’s Hospital child life foundation, ensuring vital support for the well-being of young patients.

2. Allocating $1,000 to purchase items for newborn babies at St. Louis Children's.

3. Allocating $2,000 to supply care packages for Foster Youth awaiting placement. Each package, costing approximately $75, will include a duffel bag filled with essentials such as socks, hygiene products, blankets, food gift cards, and journals.

"Central Gives Back" is not just a project; it is a deeply personal commitment. Each of these projects holds sentimental value to me, rooted in my own experiences and passions. As a graduating Senior pursuing a BSN with the aspiration to become a Pediatric nurse, my dedication to giving back, especially to Foster Youth, is unwavering. Pouring back into the community I was once a part of serves a great purpose in my life. Having aged out of Cuyahoga County as an emancipated youth on my 18th birthday, I've thrived in various aspects of my life and did not allow the system to define my success, culminating in the upcoming achievement of being a first-generation college graduate.

Join me in making a meaningful impact and leaving an indelible mark on the city of St. Louis. Your support will not only contribute to these projects but will also resonate with the spirit of compassion and community that defines "Central Gives Back."  Please use this link  https://forms.gle/4TGV6ciM4AcB2ewGA to report your donation.  I would like to ensure I thank every Soror, Affiliate member and chapter for your contribution towards this initiative!

If you would like more information or have any questions, feel free to contact me via email.  To donate click the donate button.  The deadline for donations is March 1.

With gratitude in Sisterhood and Service,
